Good Night Bot Privacy Policy

The Good Night Discord bot is operated by Good Night Community for the Good Night Discord server and connected Good Night website features. This policy explains how the bot and connected services collect, use, store, share, and delete data.

• Discord account data such as user ID, username, display name, avatar, roles, guild membership, and permissions.
• Server activity data such as commands, interactions, reports, moderation actions, joins, leaves, invites, and role changes.
• Message content when needed for moderation, anti-spam, anti-raid, ticket, transcript, logging, or command features.
• Voice state metadata such as channel joins, leaves, moves, ownership, room settings, and session duration. The bot does not record voice audio.
• Community feature data such as XP, levels, leaderboards, clan membership, event signups, staff activity, balances, inventory, and perk status.
• Website-connected data such as Discord OAuth profile details, email if Discord provides it during login, profile settings, registrations, purchases, and transaction history.

• To operate moderation, safety, anti-abuse, tickets, transcripts, appeals, and audit-log systems.
• To provide community features such as voice rooms, clans, events, XP, leaderboards, economy, store perks, and profiles.
• To connect Discord accounts with Good Night website accounts and keep website features in sync with server activity.
• To investigate rule violations, security incidents, technical issues, fraud, raids, spam, and abuse of permissions or perks.
• To maintain the bot, improve reliability, troubleshoot errors, and comply with Discord platform requirements and applicable law.

We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with Discord through Discord's APIs, with Good Night staff who need it for moderation or support, with service providers that host or operate the website, database, logs, or bot infrastructure, or when required for safety, legal compliance, or enforcement of the community rules. We do not share Discord API data with data brokers or advertising networks.

We keep data only as long as needed for the feature, moderation purpose, safety record, audit trail, dispute review, security need, or legal requirement that caused it to be collected. Some moderation, ticket, transcript, invite, transaction, and audit records may be retained longer to protect the community and review repeat abuse. You may request deletion or correction of your data through the support process below, subject to safety, anti-abuse, legal, and audit needs.

• You can stop using bot features, leave the Discord server, or revoke website OAuth access from your Discord settings.
• You can request access, correction, or deletion of your bot-related data by opening a support ticket in the Good Night Discord server.
• Deleting some data may limit or remove access to features such as XP, balance, inventory, clans, event history, or moderation appeals.

Good Night uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards to protect bot and website data. Access is limited to authorized maintainers and staff based on operational need. No system is perfect, but we work to prevent unauthorized access, investigate incidents, and notify affected users when required by law or Discord policy.

The bot is intended for Discord users who meet Discord's minimum age requirements for their country. Good Night does not knowingly operate the bot for users who are below Discord's minimum required age.
